In mission 22 Thrall continue to search the Oracle. In the barren wastes he finds his comrade Grom Hellscream, a melee hero which can not be controlled but will launch ocasional attacks. When the base is established, the Kodo Beast is available for production. Kodo Beasts are large units with a week ranged attack. But they have this Devour ability, to swallow a small to medium rival unit and regenerate health while consuming it. If the Kodo is killed before the unit is consumed, the unit come out of the beast's belly and continue to fight for his side. Kodo Beasts also have a passive ability, the War Drums, which increase damage of the nearby friendly units. Meanwhile the demon who controlled the orcs, Mannoroth, is aware they have run away.
