In Dominions 4 PC video game, there are numbers of units that call ALLIES in their squad every turn without using magic or crystals. To summon these units you need to research a specific magic and to have a mage with specific level in the magic tree. The Summon Allies option will appear on the hero tasks menu. Here is a rough list of unit and its prerequirements:
(The names in capital letters correspond the unit appearance in the game screenshot.)

• WOLF - a werewolf hero - research conjuration lvl 3-4. Have lvl 3 Nature mage. Call small fast wolves.
• DRACO - a dragon hero -  research conjuration lvl 3-4. Have lvl 3 Air mage. Call medium flying dragon units.
• ARCH - demon hero -  research blood magic lvl 6. Have lvl 4 blood and lvl 2 Fire mage. Call small red deamons.
• FIFI  - demon hero - research blood magic lvl 8. Have lvl 6-7 blood mage. Call small black deamons.
• 6U6I - demon hero - research blood magic lvl 8. Have lvl 6-7 blood mage. Call small black deamons.
• FIRE - elemental hero - research conjuration lvl 8. Have Fire mage lvl 6-7. Call medium fire elementals.
• HEALER(heals affliction) -  fairy hero - research conj. lvl 7-8. Have lvl 6 Nature mage. Sall small flying sprites.
• EARTH - elemental hero - research conjuration lvl 8. Have Earth mage lvl 6-7.Call medium earth elementals.
• AIR  - elemental hero - research conjuration lvl 8. have Air mage lvl 6-7. Call medium air elementals
• LORD - research conjuration lvl 5-6 and 5-6 lvl mage - call rogues?

Dominions 4 Valanis Map and some key locations on it. If the start location is in the lower part of the map, take these positions and the game is won. Provinces 1,2,3 and 4 blocks the undeground region. If advancing from the right, A, B and C are good blocker. D is optional. 6, 7, 9 and 10 separate the two continents by land.

• Hint: Make the Awaken Treelord ritual to summon the insane Treelord unit in a forest province. It require level 7 Nature Mage. And Enchantment research level 7. The Treelord is immobile, but make him 3 Astal levels, and then Teleport it wherever is needed. 

• Hint: Also we need Enchantment research level 7 and  level 8 Nature Mage to cast the Gift of Health ritual to heal permanent Affliction for all units. It is a global enchantment.

Largelands is a user created dominions 4 map for 9 land nations. Random generated water nations will crush the game. Every nation develop on 10-11 provinces with only one entrance to the centre of the map. To reach the capitol of another nation is possible only through the centre of the map.

Installation.

To install the map, in the main menu click "Game Tools". Then click "Open User Data Directory". This will open the directory in separate window. Unzip the archive in "Maps" folder and restart the game. The map should appear above all other maps with the name Lands.

Smallands is a user created dominions 4 map for 5-6 land nations. Random generated water nations will crush the game. Dominions 4 - Magic Sites Search Spells

These are the spells needed to reveal all magic sites in a province. Make 8 mages specialising in one magic tree and move them on the map near the provinces that need revealing. Select them all, then press "Shift" + "m" to cast the spells. Just press enter when asked which province to search and they will automatically search  all possible locations, until they exceed their range. Make sure to have some gems for the spells.

• Haruspex spell : Reveal all Nature magic sites - Require Thaumaturgy level 2 research and level 2 nature mage.
• Dark Knowledge spell : Reveal all Death magic sites - Require Conjuration level 1 research and level 1 death mage.
• Augury spell  : Reveal all Fire magic sites - Require Thaumaturgy level 2 research and level 2 fire mage. Have larger range.
• Gnome Lore spell : Reveal all Earth magic sites - Require Thaumaturgy level 2 research and level 2 earth mage.
• Auspex spell : Reveal all Air magic sites - Require Thaumaturgy level 2 research and level 2 air mage. Have small range.
• Arcane Probing spell : Reveal all Astral magic sites - Require Evocation level 2 research and level 2 astral  mage. 
• Voice of Apsu spell :  Reveal all Water magic sites - Require Conjuration level 2 research and level 2 water mage. 
• Bowl of Blood spell : Reveal all Blood magic sites - Require Blood level 1 research and level 1 blood mage.

Unlike other summonings, the Treelord need level 7 in Enchantment and not Conjuration. It require level 7 Nature Mage and can be cast only in forest provinces. The Treelord is immobile, but make him 3 Astal levels, and then Teleport it wherever is needed.

The treelord alone can smash hundreds of units. Making one is milestone to win a game. It may fall only against very strong mages that can stun or petrify it. Yet again the lord have monstrous regeneration, so it just need time until the enemy mages become fatigued and retreat.

When we are bored of loosing provinces with the maximum 100 defense, we bring the secret weapon to stop this from happening again. The secret weapon is a level 4 fire mage(it may be empowered horseman hero or any hero with a lot of leadership). In his army there are only archers, no matter if good or not. Simple archer will do perfectly.

The hero is then set to cast one specific spell, it is the Flaming arrow that need 4th fire level. It also need one fire gem to cast it, so it is needed to place some fire gems in the hero or just craft the Fire in a Jar item - it will make one temporal fire gem every combat.

Then we need to place this hero in the key province with 100 defense and make him to patrol it. Being on patrol the hero wil fight along with the defending army, and casting the flaming arrow will make all archer to fire burning arrows killing big groups of enemies. The only flow is playing against fire resistant races like some of the red flag ones.
