UFO: Aftershock is the second part of the Altar UFO games. It's a real time tactical game with pause option. Here the team is attacking the alien base, which is under the Moon's surface.
The Starghosts are the third race that will appear in UFO: Aftershock game. Their only purpose is to destroy planets. If they capture a territory, it will no longer be usable. They are strong against any weapon, so the team is caring the heaviest projectiles and plasma weapons. Some Wargot rifles(the orange ones) are equipped too.
It is always good to have one cyborg ranger when assembling the squad in UFO Aftershock PC video game. In this screenshot, the team is facing a group of Wargots in an opened ground and have the advantage to be on the high ground. The cyborg ranger is very fast, moving forward and exploring. While the rest of the squad are coming to help, Gugry the ranger is engaging a Wargot Power Armour, onе of the heaviest alien unit. With 3th level Ranger Ability he is able to fire with two sub machine guns simultaneously and do it very fast. When the Power Armor begin to shoot or throw grenades, he will move aside or behind the tree and continue to scratch it.
In most situations, the cyborg ranger can handle a group of Wargots by himself, being able to remain standing after heavy plasma hits(from Gunner 3 ability). But not in that particular situation. While he is playing with the Power Armor, the rest of the aliens are crawling up the hill. First is the Wargot Scout - annoying alien that is just blocking the teams' line of fire. One of the creatures is already rolling down the slope hit by the snipers and next one is being targeted. The four Machine Gunners are taking position behind that tree and when they manage it, the Wargots will be shred apart.
Here is Faiona. She is caring a maximum modified sniper, and is just aiming at some naughty alien. Because psions are not very strong, it is best to be snipers, or something away from heavy fight. All psions are women and all cyborgs are men.
The squad is making close frontal assault to all cultist sin their base.Their armor and weapons is just made for that. What is good to know about cultists bases, is that they never disappear. When the last one is taken, a few hours or days later 3 new random territories will become theirs. This may disconnect some of our territories too, so it is good to have alternative roads. But why should we attack their last base? For XP of course. At some point they will become so week, that just one Cyborg can smush them all, like this one in the following movie:
Here two sniper girls are firing with laser sniper at some cultists, while the close combat squad is taking positions. Snipers can be leveled as leaders and scouts too.
From the manufacture screen we can all types and equipment used by the soldiers. The seed of the production depends on the number of buildings we have for the specific type of equipment.
Ordnance Factories produce bullets for projectile weapons.
Medical Factories produce medical supplies and stimulators.
Detection Equipment Factories produce weapon and armor add on.
Basic and Advanced Weapon Factories produce projectile weapons.

Grenade launchers and rocket launchers are very cool against large packs of Wargots. In this mission, our teem must escort some civilians out of the region, but the aliens are making a trap near the escape area. Too bad for them.
Gugry the cyborg have tried to engage the Wargots in close combat, but that Power Armor have used its flame thrower weapon and then switched to gatling gun. Now plan "B" is in motion, the cover team will clean the area.
