In Heroes of Might and Magic 4 PC video game we can build our heroes with different skills. Though we may place a complex of skills, it is a good idea to develop one primary skill. One fun way to play is to have a Summoner. Especially on long gameplay maps and campaigns. The summoner calls free units every turn in his squad without  need of resources. The Summoning skill is the fourth skill in Nature Magic tree. (on the screen shot it is the wolf and the moon in the green squares)

• Basic Summoning - Call  Leprechauns, Wolves or Sprites.
• Advanced Summoning - same but more every turn.
• Expert Summoning - Call Elves, Satyrs or Tigers.
• Master Summoning - same but more every turn.
• Grandmaster Summoning - Call Earth, Fire, Air or Water elementals.

So we have the Grandmaster Summoning but how to utilize it? If we do not want some type of unit to appear, we fill all slots in the hero army with the units we want to appear. In the case of the screenshot the summoner call only Wolves and Water Elementals every turn. If we want to change the wateret elemental with air, because he is faster, we must free a slot and wait untill at least one air elemental apper. Then we remove the useless army and fill the rest of the slots with heroes or useful armies. Then we can leave the hero in a city or ofcource send him to visit coll locations and he will make free units every turn.

Heroes 4 is one of the most playable Heroes PC games along with Heroes 3 and may be Heroes 5. It is long time now that I do not wait the releases of the new Heroes with eager and excitement like before. We know 2015-2016 there will be a new Heros of Might and Magic 7. But how many of us think it will be better than the previous? :)

This is a hero with all Grandmaster Skills except Diplomacy, from Heroes 4 PC game. She is practically invincible against any neutral creatures group on the map, even the strongest. here is why:

SCOUTING gives a big site radius for knowing where to go.
  Pathfinding gives a lot of movement points
  Stealth allows the hero to go round very strong armies and take their treasure unnoticed.

COMBAT gives versatility and damage

LIFE MAGIC gives some very important spells for remaining alive as a single hero - like Guardian Angel, Sanctuary, Regeneration and Heavenly Shield(very strong with combat hero).

ORDER MAGIC gives good damage spells, a lot of mana, plus
 Create Illusion Spell, which duplicate unit,
 Hypnotise spell can ruin the strongest army formation.
 Teleportation is very useful too, to get away and cast buff spells.

There is one key items allowing the hero to be so invincible, this is the Ring of Lesser Negation, that allow to cast Hypnotise to any creature. Frost Hammer comes in handy too it may freeze enemies on stuck. The rest of the items are for defense and attack.

One good army compositions for exploration and fighting neutral guards in Heroes 4 PC game is heroes with genies. We can have 3 heroes and 4 group of genies and save the rest of academy units for defending or offences armies. One group of genies is with the most units, and the rest is 3-5 genie.

The playing tactic is as follows: The heroes should have some basic archery, but academy heroes are mages, so they usually have damage spells. The small grup genies main task is to cast the Song of Peace spells on closest rivals, so they can not attack. The big group may cast Create Illusions spell, that will duplicate any army on the battlefield to fight for us. Or use the Ice Bolt spell to do big damage.
Such army is not demanding and can handle most of neutral groups and clear the map.

Beside all, the hero of the screenshot is bringing additional money and resources with his abilities.

Exploring Heroes 4 PC video game to its limits, there is a summoning tree that give unique units, but require a combination of two magic trees.

To cast the Summon Ice Demon spell, the hero need Expert Nature Magic and Expert Demonology. So the hero must have nature and death magic at the same time.  Ice demons are medium speed army, quite versatile and have a chance to freeze the enemy, which makes them useful even in small numbers.

At first levels of Demonologist and Nature magic we can Summon Skeletons. Second level allow summoning Imps, they are week but flying and steal mana. Next level bring the Cerberus, fast and hit up to 3 targets. And finally the Ice Demon.
