UFO: Extraterrestrials is like good old UFOs', but it take place in the futuristic planet of Esperanza. Its classical concepts keeping and exciting new story and alien varieties, should make every UFO fan happy. Some are too nostalgic to old x-com games, and yes, we can say they are better. But there is one thing in that manner: when time passes and memory mix with experience of the game, the game itself is appreciated differently.

When aliens invade big cities, it is a terror mission. Usually they send many of their best units, including the heavy armoured, almost impenetrable Destroyer units. Yet they can not stand our mighty team of soldiers, equipped with plasma weapons. We can see 6 Destroyers lying around in ruins. The team is a little injured, but some day in the base hospital will return their strength. Destroyers give a lot of XP, so in some freaky manner, it is very good to meet them.

Sentinel aliens are another bio-mechanical units that give a lot of XP. They are floating, fast and have good armor. They will often make interruption attacks, ant they are quite accurate too. So it is always good to check around with a scout tank. Tanks do not increase in level and are expendable.

Preachers are floating aliens that spit area effect fire. They are week in body, but give a lot of XP. This is because they compensate with long detection range, smart moves and strong fire attack. We shouldn't keep the soldiers close when e fight preachers. Rather some tactical surrounding will catch them by surprise.

In UFO: Extraterrestrials we can manufacture Energy Shields. They are the small orange devices that are carried in the backpack or anywhere in the soldier's equipment. Every energy shield device will absorb certain amount of damage, saving the soldier in critical situations. They are difficult to manufacture, but they are worth it.

Here are the soldier's statistics when she levels up. We have to distribute the 5 new points in her specs. But we can not exceed the maximum number. For example this soldier can not have more than 95 Shooting. As we see all specs are at minimum 90, which is very hard to find. Basically we will need Agility and Vitality 100 and Shooting at least 91. With the rest we may make compromises.
