The epic combat against Psilon in Master of Orion 2

 There we are 20 Doom Stars against 60 Psilon Doom Stars, 60 Titans and 40 battleships. Psilon also have the best possible equipment for its ships, because they are Creative race. And here is the first attacker ship making damage with the super cool Heavy Plasma Cannon...

And this is what have left from the Psilon armada. I have a gameplay movie of this battle in YouTube. I have such battles in my dreams since the 90's past century.  Now my dreams are online :)

Here is my defender ship. I use defender do draw fire on them while the attackers do the damage. It have all for defense in the special skots and even some Mauler Devices. With the Sub Space Teleporters we go straight in enemy lines, but next time I'll put combat speed too, because this ship initiative is crap!

This is my set for attacking ship. There is no armor and all special slots are for increasing beam attack. Combat speed is needed to play first when initiative option is on. Heavy plasma have bigger range and plasma is continuous by default, which means it will not use all shots on one ship. With this ship I can destroy op to 5 Psilon Doom Stars (Psilon have the best ships possible).

What is your custom race in Master of Orion 2 super cool game, yet exciting to play in 2017? There are hundreds of good sets, but here is mine and I find it very easy to play with it.

1. First, I choose Meklars, because they are somewhat wide and I can catch them easily in the planet menu to move them. Also, Meklars are machines, and I like robots.

2. Then I clean all picks and I have 10 picks. But they are not enough. I place some negative picks like Low Gravity world. Later in the game I will research the Gravity Generator to fix this. Then I take -10 ground combat and -10 spying. Rivals will steal from me anyway, and when it comes to ground combat I have already failed. But now I have 20 picks to spend.

3. With this 20 picks I take Lithovore - so the robots will not need any food to eat, alawing them to be placed only to production and research. The second is Creative - so I can get all technologies from the science fields research. And that's it, I leave 2 picks so that when I discover Evolutionary Mutation science, I can make my robots become Subterranean - increase planet capacity, or + 2 Industry. I still testing which is better.

Master of Orion 2 is truly one of the greatest games for all times. I vote it to be included in future history books. Also this game, along wit some others, inspired me to undertake my idea to create fun education games. I'm far from creating such wonder of course. Many years after I have played it for the first time, i realized that I know a lot of names of the explored stars by our astronomers. So practically this game is also educational. Money hex address in Orion 2 is 0001AA3C.
