UFO Aftermath PC Game - More explanation screenshots

Here is one of many ways to engage the last mission in UFO Aftermath PC video game. After clearing the Reticulans on the surface of the Moon, the squad appear in an underground tunnelled base with many bridges and mazes. Despite common sense, they are not equipped with heavy weapons and armor, but rather 4 NEO shotguns (Neostead) and 3 Snipers (HK PSG1 and M82A1A Barrett). The Neostead appear to be the most versatile weapon, because of its heavy damage and fast shooting, while no impairing the soldier's movement.

When the squad make its way through the maze it will reach a room with a strange aliens Octopus, which are very tough for long range. After opening the door to the room the first 2-3 will fall easy, but some of them will get close eventually. The bridge is too narrow for manoeuvre so the team must retreat a little back in the caves and kite the remaining Octopus around suitable obstacle. At this point the snipers may be useless, so swapping weapon or healing the aggro soldier is a good idea. If the agro soldier gets too much damage, while all others shooting restless with the Neostead, it may be moved away and changed with other healthy one.

This is a rare victory over entrance into one of the largest alien ships. These missions are really hard, because the team appear under crossfire, surrounded by armed to the teeth reticulans.

After the spore cloud was released over earth, many creatures on the irradiated surface have mutated. They of course are hostile. The last Car Crab, a strange mutant, which use old cars as shell, is trying to escape from the snipers.

The best tactic when fighting in new bases, is with the Neosted shotgun and stalking at the corners. A few explosive weapons for group sweeps are good too.

The globe view is the strategic screen of the game. After we make a mission, the region will be available to construct one of 3 bases: Military, Reasearch or Manifacture. Later, when the Biomass begin to cover the Earth,  we recieve one additional base, repulser one.

• Hint: Make a repulser bases around the biomass to contain the spread.

Combat in the alien ships is best handled with shotguns and grenades. Oscillator guns works too if there are enough ammo for them.No need for snipers.
