Entering the Barrow Dens the elves appear deep in the Mount Hyjal, another dungeon area. This is the place where Druids of  the Claw sleeps for ages. It is also the prison of the night elf Illidan - brother of Furion. It seems Illidan have done some very bad things to the elves to be imprisoned for thousands of years. Regardless Furion's warnings, in the middle of the mission, Tyrande will separate from the team and go to free Illidan. Then he will have a major role in the story of  Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. One of the furbolgs there will give a crappy artifact, Talisman of the Wild, when a minor quest is completed.

With Illidan at elves' side, the next mission take place in the Felwood. There Illidan meets Arhas the Death Knight and after a small battle with no winner between them, Arthas reveal his intentions to betray the demons, revealing the location if the Skull of Gul'Dan, responsible for turning the woods in this foul place. When Illidan take the skull in his hunger for power, he become in Shadow Form with powerful ranged attack. From there on, the shadow form will be his fourth spell to cast.

 In the last mission of Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos, the Archimonde need to be delayed for 45 minutes, while the druids set their trap at the great tree. The Prophet have revealed his true identity, he is the last guardian Medivh. Now the Orc, the human and the night elves must join forces against the invading demons. Jaina and the humans are computer controlled ally, and are the first line of defense against demons and undead. Next is Thrall and the horde, computer controlled ally too. And last is the night elves base. With no hesitation, all troops and tree towers need to go to the human base for defense. Exploring is pointless as it is the last mission. There are two mercenary camps to hire trolls and furbolgs if a hero can be spared to reach them. On this screenshot, the attack is stopped at the orc base. Archimonde  is unstoppable, but there are just two seconds left. He falls in to the nature trap and is banished from the lands, leaving a scar for next eternity. What happened to Illidan, the orcs, the muman and the elves will be revealed in the next chapter, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne.

Warcraft 3 is the third game about Warcraft universe, and last of the RTS type so far.  After that,  WoW came to life, where we can play in a constantly developing universe. Warcraft 3 is now 3D, which is not good, but they were the times of the blooming 3D graphic engines. Yet again the game now have more complex story and campaign, more units, races, magics, items, heroes and quite exciting campaigns. There are 2 main versions of the game, the original Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos() and the expansion Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Plenty of screenshots with descriptions and hints to be found in this blog for both of them. The game should work well on Windows XP, 7 and above.

Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness is the second game created about Warcraft universe. It is again a real time strategy, played in the fantasy world of Azeroth. The both sides, Orcs and Humans begins to forge their sides by joining other races to form today's main forces, which exist in World of Warcraft. For example the elves are now the Alliance's archers, gnomes drive flying machines and dwarves have some dirty roles.  The game play is very enchanted too, allowing multiple unit selection and a lot more comfort. In our days, the problem still remain the screen resolution.

The easiest way to play Warcraft 2 windowed is with DOS-Box . But the game require its CD to run. What to do is 1.Mount the game as c:. 2. Mount the CD as  cd rom drive d:. To mount the game CD use the specific dosbox command (mount d I:\ -t cdrom )(I is the CD rom drive letter), so it recognize it as a CD. You can mount even the virtual drive, just do not forget what letter it have. 3. Install the game from there. It will create its own folder c:\war2 and run it from there. It will even remember the saved games.

Here is the Dark Portal from the last mission in Alliance campaign.It is guarded by demons, but reaching this point, where the round island under it is occupied, the portal will easily fall. However,  reaching this point is not that easy without cheats. The hardest part is to secure an oil platform. The starting oil will be enough for only one Elven Destroyer, or for the Town Hall upgrade. All the oil wells are already used by the Horde, so one Destroyer will do nothing. The best solution remain to upgrade the Town Hall and produce Mages, then cast Fire Ball and Blizzard all the time. When at least one oil well is secured, victory will not be far.
