Combats in Temple of Elemental Evil are very exciting. Unlike most RPGs, they are turn based and every character have 2-3 points of energy to use per turn. This is where for the first time I observed the initiative factor, later applied in most RPG and strategy games.
  • Hints: Long weapons like spear or polearm can hit the enemy from the second line.
