The Lumber Mill building have a couple of usages. First, it acts as a gathering point for collecting lumber. Second, it increase the amount of lumber every peasant is bringing home with +25. Third, there are the upgrades for the Elven Archer. And forth, it allow producing archers in the Barracks and unlocks advanced buildings.

Ballista Screenshot | Warcraft 2

Here is the Ballista unit. It is the ultimate ranged unit for the Alliance and is mostly used to destroy buildings. Defending with ballistas may be very harmful. If not watched, or not on hold position, the computer will lure the foot units around the ballista exactly where it shoot.
Ballistas are constructed in the Barracks.

Town Hall Screenshot | Warcraft 2

The Town Hall is the main building. It can produce Peasants and serves as collecting point for gold and lumber gathering. The Town Hall have two more upgrades, which allow advanced buildings and researches. To have +25 lumber we need to build the Lumber Mill. To have +25 Oil we need to build the Refinery. On this screen, find a Town Hall, a critter, a tower, a gold mine.

Gnomish Flying Machine Screenshot | Warcraft 2

The Gnomish Flying Machines in Warcraft 2 are not military units. But they are excellent scouts and can detect the naval submerged units like the Gnomish Submarine. A flying units which have 2 armor, 0 damage, range 1, sight 9 and speed 17.

Here is an Oil Platform, where the oil is collected from. All naval buildings and sea military units need oil. Also advanced Town Hall upgrades need oil too.

In the Shipyard we can train naval units. It is a building constructed by the peasants in and must lie on the shore. It is also the place where the work boats will bring the oil. An oil well can be seen on top right on the screen. First an oil platform need to be built.

The map of Warcraft 2 is roamed by all types of critters. The critters are harmless. However they some times stand on the army's way or obstacle building placement. In this adventure though, no critter was harmed.

In Warcraft 2 we can select up to 9 units at once and give them the same order. But we can not yet assign a numbers to the groups. It is available in the future in Warcraft 3.

The combats are awesome. The computer will try to advance from the weekest spot to the base. Every entrance should be guarded with footmen and archers.
