Elves are probably the best units in the game. With all traits from resources and unit spells they are great defenders for even large empires. What is best is that they have a lot of movement points and easily cross big distances. To build Elven units I need the Elf resource near a city and I can get it from the beginning of the game. It costs 4 points. I get it, the trader trait and a Coatl village for upgrades. Elves are expensive so I need a lot of gold. The first building opens a second one to upgrade the Elven Archers to Elven Sharpshooters. Tow Elven Sharpshooters at level 8 and good traits can destroy a Dremers gate in one turn.
