After Gal Civ 1. the logical continuations is Gal Civ 2! What is best in it is that I have control over the planet infrastructure, and there are those cool resources on the planets, as well as many more interesting things. here is a glimpse of my adventure for the study of future generations :)
This screenshot is from the Twilight of the Arnor campaign, where we fight against the evil Dread Lords, and this is the location of the Du'toth planet, that need to be captured to retrieve the last shard.
This is a planet with Second Economic Capitol. Yep that is possible if we capture a planet, where one of the other races have begun to build it. You can check if there is economic capitol construction with a spy, or just being lucky to influence such planet.
Here is a Drednaught class ship defending the home planet.
Galactic Civilizations 2 Oceanic World. It makes we want to swim :)
This is the Galactic Civilizations 2 Planet List for this adventure.
This screenshot is important, it shows 2 of 3 things to have in mind always:
- Neutrality Learning Centers are best research labs, no need to get other two.
- Navigation Center building is taken from the Arcaen empire(yellow)
- Global Market (not here) is taken from the Iconian Refuges (grey)
Be sure to have this two empires in play.
Galactic Civilizations 2 The Lone Wolf Map.
Galactic Civilizations 2 Ship Leveling. To be able to level up a ship faster we need low attack and defense and as many hit points to sustain damage. This ship, called Pras4o, has just one laser +1 or +2. +2 from the three defenses and a lot of Engines and Integrity Grids. It is fast, can hit week targets, get a level per hit and go to safety of star bases or planets.
Sometimes, more often if +% luck, we got the Lucky Ranger ship, more than once. Well I give the ship to the minor races, as I try to maintain low star ship support, and my ships being produced on planets with at least +50% star ship quality(a lot of loading), my are 50% better :)
