No wonder we can't see a fishing dwarf. This is because they fish underground. In the Craft the World PC game, we just need to dig a little further in the ground and eventually we will find water. To be able to hold water, the bottom of the space must be covered with stones, so no matter how badly we need that stones to make a lovely walls, we must not remove them.

Any dwarf can fish, as long as we have a fishing rod in the warehouse. We just click the water and a faint fishing rod will appear there. On the first and secont planet, the world will be generated with one big stone mountain somewhere on the surface. This mountain is the main, fast collectable stone resource and we may dig the whole mountain just with the most basic pickles and the Portal spell. Stones are durable material suitable for walls and floors in early and later stages.

First we may dig a passage in the basis of the mountain. It is easy and not very dangerous. Then we can place the portal on the top of the mountain and dig downwards without using ladders and shaft. Some dwarves may fall from the mountain, but they will be fine as long as they are in good health. For all this we do not need a single ladder or additianal construction tools

This is a piece of the technology tree in Craft the World PC video game. Advancing in technology is simple. We just need to craft the items from the available technologies. Some of them will give more tech points and another less. Some of them will need resources that we do not have yet, thus changing our exploration priorities.

All of the technologies are important, but Advanced Construction just change the way we craft the world itself. It will allow building the scaffolding, that dwarves can use instead of ladders. The thing is, that the scaffolds do not need a dwarf to place them, they are placed and removed instantly by the player, wherever he needs and wants.

Ladders are the most important tool for shaping the tunnels in Craft the World game. We will need them all the time and they will always be in short supply. A ladder need 2 pieces of wood to be created, thus gathering wood will be the only thing we will do on the surface in the later stages. Beside defending the house of course. Therefore the ladders must be used very economically.

Buckets are one of a tool. They are used to gather water, and most importantly, to dry out lakes. A lake can by dried with a hole under it, but it need a digged tunnel and the water will spill down in the ground and may be lost or fill another unsuitable spot. The surface lakes are not needed and will only slow the dwarves in their walks for wood. We can later find good underground lakes for fishing. Crafting buckets is not far in technology tree and they will need wood to make planks and a little iron for the nails. 3-5 buckets will be enough for the whole game level.

One of the underground monsters in Craft the World game are the giant red ants. They appear in small earth pockets and are not very dangerous if we proceed with them correctly. We must try and search an entrance to the pocked from its natural level and not from above. Or we can break from above and place a Portal on their level. They can be lethal for a single dwarf, so we must call the cavalry when fighting them. The giant ants will appear from their hive as long as there is one left outside. So connecting the pocket with another tunnel may let some ant escape and wander around while the hive bring more of them.

Every night in Craft the World game a group of undead creatures will rise from the graves and go to attack the dwarves house. But they are nothing compared to the monster waves that happen every 45 minutes. First they will try to attack and brake the doors or the hatches. But if they can't find a way to them they will begin to brake the walls of the house. So it is good idea to make suitable space for fighting in front of the house doors. In that parter level line on the screen we can place another door or two later.

Either way, the house from the screen is very badly situated for the upcoming waves from the left. The lake there is a hard terrain. It may hold the monsters when they are in small numbers, but not when they are a mob. The advancing dwarves will fall and begin to hesitate in the water. This lake must be dried out with buckets as soon as possible and the parter level be wided in a straight line.

This is how the world looks like after it have been scorched by the hardy dwarves. It is one big space with no single raw material, lightened by torches. If there are no torches, the space will be infested by spiders and shades. This big halls are usualy made under the house. It would be too much to dig the whole world like that.

This is the Lab in Craft the World game. It is situated in the right room on the second floor of the house. The lab is needed to craft potions. The most important are the Mana Potion, that will give more mana when it is used on any dwarf, and the Health Potion, that is used on any injured dwarf while in battle to heal him. The potion themsef will need some strange materials to be crafted and the Lab materials are shown on the next screen.

Lab material requirements

To craft the lab we will need some berries, bones, needles, zombie brain, water, slime, coal and an iron pot. Crafting the lab will increase the Basic Alchemy science.

Craft the World is full of scary monsters. One of them is the infernal beholder. It lurks in some of the ancient forgotten halls underground. It is also part of the latest strongest monster waves of undead that attack the house. Beholders are tough, they push the dwarf away on hit, making it to loose time in attacking. In rough terrain they have big advantage, because they are flying. It is best to fight beholders with bows in open field.
