Being Lucky - Open X-Com: X-Files

Lucky commendation is awarded for making a frag with a chance below 5% for sure. In advanced missions rookies go in combat with the awesome M-60 machine gun, and lucky enough they are quite good with it making this Lucky medal. It is a lot of shooting but just stay as far as possible from the aliens so they can not hit you and use the auto shot. There are 125 rounds in the M-60 machinegun so fire at will.

Here is the M-60 machine gun which have a very high chance to create a Lucky medal. It also may sprout Gunner giving Strength which is very needed for rookies.

And that is it, four peoples from the support team with Lucky commendation and one of them 4 levels lucky in one mission.

Time to Save the World Again - Open X-Com: X-Files

 It so so amazing, how this game from the 1994 is so awesome, deep and interesting and smiles bringing :) With tons of content, and mind bugging references, this piece of art needs months(real ones) to explore all its mysteries.

The medals are insanely interesting and desired. I'll make a post with all medals and conditions to achieve, but first I'm eager to play...

Fantasy General 2 - Summoning

If you have enough mana you can summon a creature with the magic support infantry - Wolf Mother. But she can summon only dire wolfs. To be able to summon other beasts she needs to tame them first. The big spiders and the eaglebears are great. The Harpies though can not be tamed :)

Fantasy General 2 - The Extractor Staff by Dolos

This is the Extractor staff created by Dolos. If you do not get rid of him and let go the liquid mana he is stealing, he will finally create this item. The Extractor Staff gives 2 mana on unit destruction. Needles to say how important is this for summoners.

Fantasy General 2 - Best Item Drops

Here is my collection of rare items. 

The water boots and forest boots comes very handy and very often. This is another item you may want to get from ruins.  

The Statue of Handola gives +30 regeneration. There is one certain place to get it. The rest comes from random drops.

 The Plague Doctor Mask is another item to get from ruins and city raiding. It gives +100 health - excellent for single entities.

Archers and support units should carry the war banners. The effect of them is cumulative!

Blood Oak Bow Location Screenshot - Fantasy General 2: Invasion

Needless to say this is the best item in the game... well, one of the best. The Blood Oak Bow works on mages too, so they can fire 3 hex away and get rid of those nasty machines of the empire. It is found in Kanthas mission in one of those strange blood oaks and they are 3 of them, one is found at the end of the scenario. But there is a catch. If you take the bows all trolls and some heroes will get a negative trait  -1 to morale.

So this is the map location of the Kanthas mission. When inside, take a small squad and continue to the east while the main army fights the centaurs and the empire forces to the south. When you pass the river, there is an ambush in the woods and just beside it is the oak, as unexplored location. There you will find a transmuter doing some bad rituals. If you let him live, he will give you 2 bows and tell you about the 3rd one. If you decide to fight it, you still get the bows, but they are not enchanted and are +0.
