Clerics can make limited spells from any magic they have for the current level.  To use a spell, unlike sorcerers, wizard need to memorize them. We choose what spells the wizard do, and after rest, they will be ready for use. Here are the best second level wizard spells:

• Melf's Acid Arrow is may be one of the most usable spells for wizards in the game. 
• Cats Grace is a buff spell, that will increase character's dexterity by +4 for 5 minutes.
• Bull's Strength is a buff spell, that will increase character's strength by +4 for 1 min per level.
