The silver and gold can be found in the middle layers of the earth. They are the materials for some key structures, tools, armors and weapons. Silver is the grey-white dotted piece of earth and the gold is the yellow shiny one. They are found in clusters and one cluster may lead to another, so it is always good to follow any metal deposit we find and explore a little around it.

Silver is best to craft tools - pickles and axes, while we save the gold for armors and weapons. They may be needed to craft some comfortable furniture too, and gold is needed to make the portal parts.
