This is the aftermath the atomic bombing in Civilization 1 computer game. In 1850s, the yellow player got pissed off my overwhelming tactic and used some bomb on all conquered cities. Nuclear weapons destroy all defense in the city, reduce it size by half and all lands around become polluted. It would take many ears to regain the glory of that city and a lot of settler cleaning to remove the pollution. Beside, the settlers now will be too exposed with these railroads.
