Her is a city from Civilization 4 Dune mod, that have terraformed the region around it. The Grundwater resource now can bring +8 water and the grasslands alone +2 water. Though, the desert tiles no longer produce spice and we can not build improvements there. But the plenty of water will bring a lot of population and we can put them to work as specialists in the bottom right on the screen over the minimap. Specialists bring a lot of gold if they are Merchants and less gold and production if they are Priests. But we can not have endless specialists, we need buildings that they will work into. Hills and deep deserts can not be terraformed.
